A Young Woman Commits Suicide Following Domestic Violence in Faryab

Local sources say that the woman hanged herself on Saturday (June 22) in the village of "Eshan" in Dowlat Abad district.

According to the sources, the young woman took this action due to domestic violence.

Local Taliban officials have also confirmed the death of the woman and said that an investigation has been launched into the matter.

This comes as another woman committed suicide four days before Eid al-Adha in Qaysar district of Faryab due to domestic violence.

It is worth mentioning that with the increase in the level of domestic violence in the country, the rate of suicide among women and girls has recently increased.
