Coalition of Protest Movements Based in Iran: Bring the Taliban to Trial Instead of Negotiating with them

This coalition, comprising dozens of movements, including women's protest movements, issued a resolution on Friday (June 14) urging the parties involved in the third Doha meeting not to legitimize the Taliban by inviting them to the summit.

The resolution states that countries lobbying for the Taliban based on their own opportunistic policies are contributing to the worsening human rights situation for millions of Afghan women and girls.

Women's protest movements have also called on the United Nations and special representatives of countries at the upcoming Doha meeting on Afghanistan to stand with Afghan women and choose the right side of history.

It is noteworthy that the third Doha meeting is scheduled to be held later this month in Qatar to review the international community's approach towards Afghanistan.
