Rina Amiri Emphasized the Need for Meaningful Participation of Women in the Third Doha Meeting

Ms. Amiri wrote on her X page on Tuesday (June 4) that she had held important meetings with representatives of the United Arab Emirates, Belgium, Qatar, France, and Canada.

She added that in these meetings, she emphasized the importance of the active participation of Afghan women and civil society representatives in the third Doha meeting, which is to be hosted by UN Secretary-General António Guterres in less than a month.

The Taliban have also been invited to the meeting and are seeking a meaningful presence.
