The restaurant, which opened yesterday, Monday (February 17), in the fourth district of Kabul, was launched in the presence of several businesswomen and social activists.

Samira Mohammadi, the founder of the restaurant, told the media that the primary goal of establishing the restaurant is to create job opportunities for women and girls.

She also shared her plans to expand the restaurant across Kabul and other provinces of the country, adding, "In the three branches of Afghan Women's Restaurant in Kabul, around 50 women and 30 men are employed, and we plan to increase the number of employees in these three branches."

This entrepreneur, whose previous restaurants were exclusively for women, has designed separate halls for women and men in her third branch to provide a safe and comfortable space for customers, especially families.

Mohammadi also told the media that, in addition to preparing 22 types of local and international dishes, a mobile kitchen for women has also been launched at this restaurant.

Samira Mohammadi shared how she started her business: "About four years ago, with an investment of six to seven thousand Afghanis and using my own kitchen utensils, I began my work." She added that by selling her gold and jewelry, she invested around 2 million Afghanis to establish her restaurant branches across Kabul.

Ms. Mohammadi expressed her desire to collaborate with female investors to expand the restaurant's branches across Afghanistan, creating job opportunities for more women and girls.

It is worth noting that over the past three and a half years, the Taliban have imposed extensive restrictions on the education, schooling, and employment of women and girls in Afghanistan. Despite this, many working women, after being barred from working in government institutions and offices, have established women-only restaurants and cafes in several cities across the country.
