Zan News: The Taliban's Supreme Court has announced that 18 individuals, including four women, have been flogged in Khost province on charges of "extramarital relations" and "sodomy."
According to a statement released by the court today, Monday (24 February), these individuals were flogged in public.
The Taliban's Supreme Court stated that each of these individuals has been sentenced to one to seven years in prison and 39 lashes.
It is worth noting that since regaining control of Afghanistan, the Taliban have repeatedly carried out physical punishments and public trials.
International human rights organizations consider these actions a clear violation of human rights and human dignity and have called for their immediate cessation.
