Zan News: The Afghanistan Women’s Voice Movement says that the international community has not taken any specific or effective action to support Afghan women, and countries have stayed silent in alignment with the Taliban.

The movement has issued a statement in connection with the 70 restrictive decrees by the Taliban against women and girls, and the absolute silence of most countries in the world in response to these actions.

The statement emphasizes: "The international community and the policies of the world’s countries have always stayed silent in support of oppression, dictatorship, and the blatant violation of human rights of the people of Afghanistan, especially women, aligning with the Taliban. No clear or organized action has been taken to support women and vulnerable groups."

According to the statement, the Taliban's decrees are pushing every aspect of the lives of Afghan women and girls toward destruction, failure, and international injustices regarding their rights.

This comes at a time when, for over three years, the Taliban have increasingly violated the rights of Afghan citizens, especially women. The leader of the Taliban also recently issued a decree closing medical institutes to girls, an action that has sparked widespread domestic and international reactions.
