Zan News: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has announced that in 2025, the number of children under the age of five suffering from malnutrition in Afghanistan will reach 3.5 million.
On Tuesday (January 28), OCHA called on the international community to increase its humanitarian support and assist in providing nutritious food for infants and mothers in Afghanistan.
The organization emphasized that such support could help provide a healthy diet and the daily nutritional needs for families.
Previously, OCHA also stated that by 2025, 22.9 million people in Afghanistan would need humanitarian assistance.
These concerns come amid the suspension of U.S. foreign aid, which has led many humanitarian organizations, funded by the U.S., to halt their operations in Afghanistan.
