Taliban Flog a Woman and a Man in Ghazni

On Sunday (23 March), the court in a statement said that the individuals were whipped in the Deh Yak district of Ghazni.

According to the statement, both were sentenced to five years in prison and 39 lashes.

Since taking control of Afghanistan, the Taliban have repeatedly carried out corporal punishments in public, including the execution of six individuals in front of hundreds of spectators. International human rights organizations have condemned these actions, deeming them violations of human rights principles and contrary to international law.
