Zan News: Following restrictions on media and journalists in Afghanistan, local sources have reported that the Taliban governor in Paktia has banned photography in government offices in the province.
On Sunday (17 November), sources said the Taliban governor issued this directive based on a decree from Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the group.
According to the directive, journalists are required to use images of buildings and office addresses instead of capturing pictures of individuals.
It is noteworthy that Paktia is the sixth province where the Taliban has enforced this photography ban. Previously, such a ban was implemented in Nangarhar, Kandahar, Takhar, Badghis, and Helmand provinces.
