Zan News: The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Afghanistan has announced that it has supported over 80,000 women entrepreneurs in the country.

According to a statement released by the organization on Sunday (December 22) via X, these women are leading small businesses and have created employment opportunities for over 900,000 other individuals.

The UNDP also emphasized that more than four million other people in Afghanistan have benefited in this way.

This comes as two years ago, the Taliban banned women from working in international organizations, a large number of whom were the primary breadwinners for their families.
