Zan News: The World Food Programme (WFP) has announced that with the arrival of winter, millions of people in Afghanistan will face severe hardship, and one in every four families will struggle to secure enough food.

This international organization, in a report released on Sunday (December 1), stated that millions of people across Afghanistan are struggling.

According to the report, the World Food Programme needs 680 million U.S. dollars for the next six months to support its various activities, including assisting the most vulnerable families across the country.

The report goes on to say that in the first half of 2024, the World Food Programme was able to reach one million people with food aid monthly, while 11 million others have been deprived of this aid.

The report also mentions that after the return of the Taliban to power, the economic situation of poor families in Afghanistan has "worsened."
