15-Year-Old Girl Murdered by Her Husband in Kandahar

Zan News - Kandahar: Local sources in Kandahar province have reported that a 15-year-old girl was murdered by her husband in the Arghandab district of the province.
The incident occurred on Saturday night (October 5) at the girl's father's house in the "Gol Kolachi" area of Arghandab district.
According to sources, the girl's brother was also injured in the incident.
It has been reported that the girl had been married a year ago.
The motive for the murder is still unclear.
The Taliban in Kandahar have confirmed the occurrence of this event.
This comes as forced and early marriages among girls have increased since the Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan. In addition, domestic violence continues to claim many victims, especially among Afghan women.
