A Man in Faryab Burned His Wife

This incident occurred on Thursday (27 March) in the Baluch village of Shirin Tagab district.

According to the sources, the husband first tied her hands and feet, confined her in a room, and then set her on fire. A source emphasized that the fire was so intense that the woman's body was completely reduced to ashes.

The motive for this act has not yet been determined, but according to reports, Taliban forces have arrested the husband.

Local Taliban officials in Faryab have not commented on the matter so far.

It is noteworthy that after the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan, mysterious killings of women, children, and young people have increased unprecedentedly. Factors such as mental illnesses, personal vendettas, forced marriages, domestic violence, and the psychological pressures resulting from poverty and unemployment are cited as the main causes of these incidents.
