A Woman Killed by Husband in Nangarhar, Her Body Set on Fire by Mother-in-Law

Zan News: Local sources in Nangarhar province report that a woman in the province was first killed by her husband and then her mother-in-law set her body on fire.
Tayeb Hemad, spokesperson for the Taliban's Nangarhar police command, stated that this incident occurred on Sunday (December 8) in the Daman area, the eighth district of Jalalabad city.
According to Hemad, the woman's husband first killed her, and then her mother-in-law set her body on fire. He also mentioned that the suspects involved in the incident have been arrested by Taliban forces, but no details have been provided about the motive for the killing.
It is worth noting that the killing of women and girls by family members, often rooted in domestic violence, is striking in Afghanistan. This comes at a time when, after taking power, the Taliban have dismantled all mechanisms and support centers for women victims of domestic violence.
