A Young Girl Murdered by Her Brother in Herat

According to sources, the incident occurred on Tuesday night (October 15) in the sixth district of Herat city. The girl was stabbed to death by her brother.

The motive for the murder has not yet been determined.

Local Taliban officials in Herat have not commented on the matter; however, local sources say that the accused individual has been arrested by Taliban fighters.

This event occurs while the cases of murder of women have increased in different parts of Afghanistan. Approximately two weeks ago, a man also killed his 15-year-old wife in the Arghandab district of Kandahar.
