A Young Girl Murdered in Faryab by Her Brother Due to Connection with a Taliban Member

Local sources say that the girl, named Delbar, was murdered by her brother on Saturday (July 13) in the village of "Tilaan" in Pashtun Kot district.

According to one source, the motive for the murder was her phone communication with a Taliban member.

Her brother killed her with knife stabs and then fled.

So far, Taliban officials in Faryab have not commented on the incident.

It is worth noting that there have been numerous recent reports of murders and suicides in Faryab province. Domestic violence is cited as a major factor in murders and suicides in Afghanistan, especially in Faryab province.
