Body of a 15-Year-Old Boy Found Hanging in Bamyan

Two local sources in Bamyan confirmed the incident to the media. According to these sources, the incident occurred on Monday (July 15) in the village of "Nawa" in the Dara - Foladi area of the province.

One of the sources says the victim was named "Mahdi" and was hanged when all his family members had gone to the mosque to participate in Muharram ceremonies.

According to another source, Mahdi's body was found hanged in his father's stable with his hands tied behind his back with a "shoemaker's thread."

The source believes that Mahdi did not commit suicide but was instead hanged and killed by someone who tied his hands and hanged him.

Local Taliban officials in Bamyan province have not yet commented on the matter.
