Zan News: The Independent Coalition of Afghanistan Women's Protest Movements has rejected any meeting, appeasement , or engagement with the Taliban in response to the group's invitation to the third Doha meeting.
In a statement issued on Monday (June 10), the coalition expressed deep concern about the decisions being made in Doha.
Referring to the US-Taliban agreement signed in Doha, coalition members said: "Doha has been an inauspicious and unholy place and a source of bitterness for the Afghan people. We have suffered historically from the holding of any meeting in this black market of trading the interests of the intelligence agencies of the world and we hate it."
The Independent Coalition of Afghanistan Women's Protest Movements called for the Taliban to be brought to justice and stressed that the world should support the Afghan people instead of this group.
It is worth noting that the third meeting of special representatives of the world on Afghanistan is scheduled to be held in Doha, Qatar, on June 30 and July 1, hosted by the UN Secretary-General.
The United Nations has invited the Taliban to participate in the meeting, but the group has demanded "meaningful participation" and agreement on the agenda and composition of the participants.
