Man Hangs His Wife to Death in Nangarhar

The incident took place on Saturday, April 12, in the "Mashwano" area of the district, and according to Taliban security officials, the suspect has been arrested.

Sayed Tayeb Hamad, spokesperson for the Taliban police command in Nangarhar, confirmed the incident and stated that the cause was domestic violence.

This comes as numerous cases of women being killed by family members have been reported in Afghanistan since the Taliban’s return to power. Most of these murders are believed to be the result of domestic violence.
