Opening of 10 Maternity Centers in Afghanistan with UAE Support

In a press release on Saturday (December 7), the ministry stated that these centers are part of the UAE's humanitarian aid efforts for Afghanistan.

According to the provided information, these centers have been established in the provinces of Herat, Kandahar, Paktia, Nangarhar, Paktika, Helmand, and Balkh.

The UAE emphasized that it will continue its humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan.

This initiative comes at a time when the European Union has recently warned about the rising maternal and child mortality rates in Afghanistan. According to the EU report, every two hours, one mother in Afghanistan dies due to pregnancy and childbirth-related complications.
