Zan News

Zan News: Save the Children organization has described 2024 as "a year of cruel" for children in Afghanistan, emphasizing that the ongoing economic crisis, recurring droughts, and floods have severely impacted the lives of children in the country.

On Friday (December 13), the organization published a video on its X platform, calling for support for the children of Afghanistan.

The organization stated, "The economic crisis, droughts, and recurring floods have left children in a dire food situation." The organization further urged, "Help us bring hope to Afghan children."

These statements come after the United Nations had previously warned that despite the reduction in conflicts in Afghanistan, children in the country remain in a highly vulnerable situation.

Moreover, statistics show that since the Taliban took power, one-third of children in Afghanistan have been forced to work.

It is worth mentioning that the rise in poverty and hunger has compelled families to seek help from on their children to help meet living expenses.
