Zan News: The Spanish government has announced that Taliban leaders should be tried in the International Criminal Court (ICC) for human rights violations.
According to a report by Diplomat Spanish published on Tuesday (September 3), the organization "MásDemocracia" is collecting signatures to bring Taliban leaders to trial.
This organization has requested the Hague Court to declare the Taliban's suppression of women and girls as a "crime against humanity."
Over the past three years, the Taliban have repeatedly been accused by international organizations and some countries of violating human rights, particularly the rights of women and girls.
Last year, Human Rights Watch also reported that gender-based violence by the Taliban constitutes a crime against humanity and called for it to be investigated by the ICC.
At that time, the organization emphasized that Taliban officials must put an end to any form of oppression and discrimination that deprives women and girls of their fundamental rights.
