Taliban Arrest Husband of Stoned Woman in Kandahar on Murder Charges

Zan News - Kandahar: The Taliban police in Kandahar province have arrested the husband of a woman who was recently stoned to death in a desert in Ghorak district of this province, on charges of her murder.
Sources within the Taliban police in Kandahar have said that the husband of this woman is named "Saadullah" and is originally from the village of Sarwan Qala in Sangin district of Helmand province.
According to the sources, Saadullah is addicted to methamphetamine and heroin, and due to his violence and mistreatment, his wife had been living with her children in her father's house in the village of Surat Khan in Ghorak district of Kandahar province for a long time.
Meanwhile, three days ago, local sources reported to the media that unknown individuals had stoned a woman to death in a desert in Ghorak district, and her body was found in the village of Surat Khan in this district.
It is noteworthy that since the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan, the number of murders of women in various parts of the country has increased. Domestic violence is considered one of the main factors behind these killings.
