Taliban Ban Photography of Living Creatures in Paktika

Sources stated on Monday (January 27) that this decision was communicated to journalists last week in a meeting held by the Taliban's Information and Culture Department in Paktika.

Officials at the Taliban's Information and Culture Department in the province explained that the decision was made in accordance with the law of "Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice."

This decision comes at a time when, over the past three months, the Taliban have imposed a complete ban on photography and videography in at least ten provinces of Afghanistan, which has led some media outlets to face closure.
