Taliban Flog One Woman and Two Men in Bamyan

According to a statement released by the court on Tuesday (25 February), these individuals were flogged in the Yakawlang district of Bamyan.

The court stated that two of the individuals were each sentenced to one year in prison and 39 lashes, while the third person was sentenced to six months in prison and 39 lashes.

This action comes as the Taliban had also flogged 18 individuals in Khost Province on Monday of this week.

It is worth noting that since regaining control of Afghanistan, the Taliban have carried out physical punishments and public trials. International human rights organizations have condemned these actions as clear violations of human rights and human dignity, calling for their immediate cessation.
