Zan News: The Women’s Justice Movement of Afghanistan, through a protest rally and the issuance of a statement, has urged the international community not to ignore the widespread violations of women's rights in Afghanistan and to recognize gender apartheid in the country.

In the statement published on Saturday (November 2), it is stated: "Silence in the face of oppression and injustice means compliance and complicity with a regressive group. We are the silenced voices of the women of our country."

The Women’s Justice Movement of Afghanistan added in this statement: "As you are aware, we protesting women, human rights activists, and civil society have exposed the Taliban's crimes with our struggles and pressured legal bodies, especially the International Criminal Court (ICC), convincing several EU member countries to refer the Taliban for prosecution for gender discrimination."

The statement emphasizes: "We will not remain silent, and through our relentless struggles, after three years of the Taliban’s misogynistic rule in Afghanistan, we have compelled Germany, Australia, Canada, and the Netherlands to challenge the Taliban."

This statement also calls on the international community to recognize gender apartheid in Afghanistan, adding: "Do not ignore this blatant oppression and apartheid occurring before the eyes of the world. We protesting women inside Afghanistan raise our voices and urge all freedom-loving people and justice advocates to not remain silent in bringing terrorists, criminals, and human rights violators to justice."

At the end of the statement, it is noted: "We demand justice and stand firmly for our rights. We will not allow the world to forget us. The issue of gender apartheid is about ending crimes, murders, and inequalities, and we demand recognition of this bitter reality in Afghanistan."
