Additionally, the organization, with the help of other humanitarian organizations, has provided services through 15 health centers in the health care sector for Afghans. The statement specifies that these health centers include seven infectious disease centers, two emergency centers, and six public service centers. The WHO has also supported 12 drug addiction treatment centers and two opioid substitution clinics in 12 provinces of the country. In September, 3,832 pregnant women received prenatal services, and 1,512 women received postnatal services at health centers. The organization has also focused on treating malnourished children and women, implementing vaccination programs for various diseases, and providing health education services to rural residents. This comes as just a few days ago, the World Health Organization reported that 70 individuals have died from diarrhea-related illnesses in Afghanistan under Taliban rule this year.
