In response to the Taliban’s new order making the wearing of the burqa mandatory for women, the Afghanistan Women’s History Transformation Movement held a protest in Kabul, during which participants set burqas on fire.

As the forced deportation of Afghan migrants from Iran and Pakistan continues, Bakhtar News Agency, the Taliban-controlled outlet, has reported that on yesterday (November 7), a total of 1,809 Afghan families returned to the country.

In Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, even medical treatment has become forbidden for women who do not wear the chadari or burqa.
