Man in Kunar Kills His Wife and Son

Local sources in Kunar province say that a man in Nur Gul district shot and killed his wife and one of his sons, and injured his two other children, a son and a daughter.

The incident took place on Saturday (July 12) in the Ludlam area of Nur Gul district. Sources say the injured son and daughter have been transferred to Nangarhar Provincial Hospital for treatment.

According to local sources, the incident was the result of domestic violence and economic hardship. However, one source added that the man was suffering from a mental disorder and has now been arrested by the Taliban.

Local Taliban officials have not yet commented on the incident.
