Hannah Neumann, a member of the European Parliament, has said that the Taliban’s penal code in Afghanistan “codifies gender apartheid and the de facto enslavement of women and girls”.

Local Taliban officiaals in Nangarhar province say that seven members of a family have been killed and one other person injured after the roof of a house collapsed in Jalalabad city.
