Four-Year-Old Child Dies After Falling into Water Pond in Ghazni

The press office of the Taliban police headquarters in Ghazni says a four-year-old child died after falling into a water pond in Ajristan district of the province.
The office reported on Saturday (17 October) that the incident occurred on Friday evening (16 October) in the Khoshk Abi area of Ajristan district.
According to the Taliban, the child fell into the water while playing near his home and died.
The Taliban’s National Disaster Management Authority had previously said that over the course of one year, 148 people, including 66 children, 11 women and 71 men, drowned and died in rivers, dams and bodies of water across Afghanistan.
